N2  - This paper attempts to find out whether spirituality plays an increasing, decreasing, or neutral role in challenging times. To do so, it presents the findings of a survey conducted amongst 52 executives in Los Angeles (N=200, response rate 26 por ciento), who performed in various positions and workplaces. The survey findings led the researchers to conclude that spirituality is a highly important approach in challenging times, and to subsequently suggest that leaders who aim for lasting excellence of their endeavors should nurture work environments that support trust, morale, and harmony
