Much of this is concerned with large firms, thus presenting an opportunity for research to be conducted amongst SMEs. In addition, the role of influences on HR sophistication amongst such a sample has been found to be under-researched. Therefore, the aim of this paper was to identify influences on HR sophistication within South Wales based professional service firms.
