Resumen: The Government Performance and Results Act of 1993 (GPRA) is intended to bring about a fundamental transformation in the way government programs and operations are managed and administered. The United States is at the mid-point of a four year period for making any needed changes in government processes, systems, and practices before the law takes full effect in 1997. This paper examines the United States experience to date.
